The supervision program offers affordable clinical supervision to recent master’s level social work graduates who do not have L.C.S.W. supervision available in their employment settings. The goal is to provide clinically oriented supervision that will prepare recent graduates to meet the requirements for clinical licensure in social work in Illinois.
New professionals are matched to L.C.S.W.’s considering the supervisee’s theoretical orientation, clinical population, and employment setting. Supervisors are members of the Society in good standing. Supervision is available until the requirements for clinical licensure have been met (the equivalent of two years of full-time clinical practice).
Agencies are encouraged to assume the cost of this service.
Employers must be informed and give their consent before supervision is initiated.
